Cassandre GlassSince the first workshop specializing in glass casting in Quebec, Cassandre has gained international attention since founding in 1995. This young enterprise offers unique creations, sculpted pieces designed especially for architectural integration, and objects produced in limited series.
Glass casting is a very impressive technique
practiced since Antiquity. The glass which is melted at 2225 degrees F, is poured into a mould formed in moist sand. Colors, which are put in the sand
beforehand, appear as the glass cools and becomes transparent.
