Cottage Mill Pepper Mills No live trees or branches are cut or damaged in harvesting the wood I use. The wood is dried to about 8% moisture content, and then microwaved for 4 minutes. 3 coats of shellac is applied to the outside, and one inside to seal the wood. The grinding parts are made from tempered stainless steel. An internal spring allows you to adjust from course to fine grind.
